Moricz Moses Mosche Rothberger was born in 1847 in Beša, Košice, Slovakia, the son of Zali and Pal. He had one son and one daughter with Regina Schwartz. He then married Karolina (Lena) Arnstein on February 1, 1882, and they had six children together. He died in 1938 at the age of 91.
