copied from an obituary at Dignity Memorial

Martin (Morty) peacefully left us on December 13, 2016, surrounded by family. He was a man with never a mean word, always a laugh about himself, and unending love for his family. He served his country during WWII. As a highly-respected structural engineer, he designed the tram at Busch Gardens along with numerous iconic buildings. Following the Northridge Earthquake, already after his retirement, he returned to engineering with Alpha Structural and continued for another two decades, until just a month before his passing at 93! Truly a remarkable man who will be missed by his loving wife, Florence, children Michelle, Marc and Brad, son-in-law Dan, daughter-in-law Lisa, and grandchildren, Erica, Joelle, Micah, Adina, Justin and Ryan. Arrangements under the direction of Groman Eden Mortuary, Mission Hills, CA.
