Dorothy King Schulman, 103, died peacefully Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007.
Funeral: Private.

Dorothy King Schulman was born April 26, 1903, in Ozark, Ark. and married Robert Schulman of Livingston, Ala. on April 15, 1923. Dorothy and Bob lived in Dallas before moving to Fort Worth in 1954.

As evidenced by her long and full life, "Mimi" was a strong and independent woman who dearly loved having her family around her.

Mrs. Schulman was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Robert "Bob" Schulman; and grandson, Robert "Bobby" Schulman.

Survivors: Children, Betty Bob Brock and Myron Schulman; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. We knew "MiMi" through her grandson Robert Schulman and his family. I had lost contact with Mimi in recent years, but my children have fond memories of going and visiting her and swimming at the club. Our prayers are with the family at this time.

Dorothy Schulman was our family friend. We all loved this great southern lady!

Dorothy was a member at Ridglea Presbyterian Church since moving to Fort Worth and a founding member of Ridglea Country Club.

Dorothy was very proud of the fact that she was 2nd cousin to Col. Robert E. Lee. Dorothy’s grandfather was Lee’s personal physician during the Civil War. The cross with the Ridglea Presbyterian Church sign was designed by her husband, Robert Schulman in 1959 with Dr. Clifford Williams.

Dorothy’s family are in our prayers.
