Patti Ann Schwartz died in a local hospital on Monday, March 14, 2011.
She was born on August 30, 1947.
Patti was the daughter of the late Harold A. Schwartz, M.D. and the late Eleanor Miller Schwartz; the granddaughter of the late Julius Schwartz and the late Rebecca Borisky Schwartz; and the late Harry Miller and the late Ethel Harris Miller.
She is survived by her brother, Harold "Hal" A. (Elwynn) Schwartz Jr., of Chattanooga; her sister, Ellen Schwartz (Marc) Yellin, of New Orleans, La.; her nephews, Harold "Skip" A. (Holly) Schwartz III, of Tokyo, Japan, Jeffrey Yellin, of New Orleans, La., Brian Yellin (Megan Sobel fiance) of Washington, D.C., and her nieces, Karen (Art) Johnson, of Chattanooga, and Susan (Mark) Crispell, of Wilmington, N.C. She is also survived by great-nieces and nephews, Skylar Schwartz and Blayden Schwartz, of Tokyo, Japan and Caroline Riede and Nickolas Johnson, of Chattanooga.
For most of her life Patti was a villager at Annandale Village in Suwannee, Ga.
Services will be at Ochs Memorial Temple of Mizpah Congregation at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2011 followed by interment at Mizpah cemetery, and then a meal of consolation at Feinstein Hall. Rabbi William Tepper will be officiating.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416, Annandale at Suwannee, 3500 Annandale Lane, Suwannee, GA 30024, or, Mizpah Congregation (Miller-Schwartz Fund), 923 McCallie Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37403.
The family wishes to express its appreciation for the many years of nuturing given by Annandale and the compassion of Hospice during Pattis last illness.
