Anita spent her formative years in Mobile, AL, and never lost her deep southern accent or charm. She was known for her light-hearted laughter and love for entertaining. In addition to being an involved parent, Anita was a certified Master Gardener and avid floral designer. She believed in expanding her horizons and in her forties, Anita enrolled in a Spanish immersion program. She also taught herself how to invest in the stock market. In the community, Anita volunteered and belonged to the National Council of Jewish Women and Temple Emanu-El, as well as being a popular candy-striper at Presbyterian Hospital. She enjoyed bringing a smile to everyone’s face.

Anita is survived by her husband of 72 years, Howard; daughter Frances Rady; nephew Charles Folks (Ellen) and the extended Folks family – Heather, Shawn, Lauren and spouses.
