Bernice Saperstein Cohn passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis on November 16, 2015. She was the wife of Harold Cohn for 66 years. She was the daughter of Morris and Shirley Saperstein and was a lifelong resident of Memphis. Bernice worked in the stores which she owned with her husband in Somerville, Tennessee and Mason, Tennessee until their retirement.

She was a member of Baron Hirsch Synagogue and a number of Jewish Charitable Organizations. In high school, she was president of the Fanny Brenner Chapter of BBG, a Jewish youth organization for high school girls.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her four sons: Bill (and Cheryl) Cohn of Germantown, Tennessee; Stuart Cohn of Brooklyn, New York; and Andrew Cohn and Mark Cohn of Dallas, Texas. She also leaves three grandchildren: Ari (and Hazel) Cohn of Chandler, Arizona, Aaron (Kivi) Cohn of Chandler, Arizona; and Barbara (and Blake) Weems of Austin, Texas; and one great grandson.

She leaves her brother Dr. Stanley Saperstein of Los Angeles, California, and her sister Matilda Lazarov of Houston, Texas.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the Sam Abraham Chapel in Baron Hirsch Cemetery.
