When Florence Harriet Katz was born on February 8, 1924, in Tennessee, her father, Robert, was 35, and her mother, Ethel, was 26. She married Martin Liberman on June 23, 1946, in Seattle, Washington. They had one child during their marriage. She died on November 1, 2021, in California at the age of 97, and was buried in Mission Hills, California.
